Before you start.
- What does TMADE make?
- One-of-one custom puffer vests and jackets, rebuilt by hand from real sports jerseys. Football, hockey, basketball and soccer jerseys have all been used.
- Can I send my own jersey?
- Yes, and most customers do. Hold on to it when you submit — once we have reviewed your request we contact you with shipping instructions and where to send it.
- Can TMADE source the jersey for me?
- Yes. Choose that option in the request and tell us the sport, team, player and colourway you want. We come back to you with what we can find and what it costs before anything is committed.
- What sizes are available?
- Men's, women's and kids, up to 2XL. You choose the finished garment size, not the jersey size.
- Can I ask for specific logos, numbers or patches to stay visible?
- Yes — that is the point of the design notes step. Tell us what matters: the nameplate, a shoulder patch, the front crest, a particular number. Placement is planned before anything is cut.
- How much does it cost?
- A custom vest is $300 CAD with your own jersey, or $350 CAD if we source one. A custom jacket is $350 CAD with your jersey, or $400 CAD sourced. Shipping is charged on top and depends on the destination — see below.
- Why does it cost more if TMADE sources the jersey?
- Because we go and find it. Tracking down the right team, player and colourway takes time, and we carry the risk of buying a jersey that turns out not to work. Sending your own skips all of that.
- How long does it take?
- If you send your own jersey, 1–2 weeks — but the clock starts when the jersey reaches us and we have accepted it for the build, not when you submit the form. If we source it, 2–4 weeks from your deposit, which is what lets us start looking. Both are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.
- Is there a deposit?
- Yes, 40% of the project price to begin — $120 CAD on a $300 CAD vest, for example. The remaining balance is due once your piece is finished, before it ships. Nothing is charged when you submit a request.
- Is the deposit refundable?
- Up to the point we accept the project, yes. Once we have accepted it and started work — or started sourcing a jersey for you — the deposit is non-refundable, because by then it has been spent on materials or hours.
- Can I buy a piece from the Roster?
- No — everything on the Roster is finished work that has already been made for someone. Each piece is one of one and is not remade, so the way to get one is to start a custom build of your own.
- Do you ship?
- Yes, worldwide. Shipping is charged separately from the piece and is never included in the price. It depends on where the piece is going and whether it is a vest or a jacket — the full rate table is on the shipping page. Every piece ships tracked.
- How much is shipping?
- Canada $20 CAD for a vest and $25 CAD for a jacket; the United States $30 CAD and $40 CAD; UK and Europe $40 CAD and $55 CAD. Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and the rest of the world are higher again — every band is listed on the shipping page. Remote destinations, oversized parcels and multi-piece shipments may need an adjusted rate, which we confirm before any balance is due.
- Are customs and import charges included?
- No. Import duties, taxes, VAT or GST and brokerage fees are set by the destination country, not by TMADE, and are billed to you directly by the carrier or customs authority — sometimes after delivery. They are not part of the shipping charge you pay us.
- What happens after I submit a request?
- You get a reference number straight away. We review the jersey, design and sizing by hand, then send you a quote with a payment link. Submitting a request and paying a deposit are separate steps — nothing is charged until you choose to pay, and nothing is cut until you have approved the design direction.
- Is the Welcome Kit included?
- Yes. Every order ships with the Welcome Kit — the Draft Kit bag, a TMADE lanyard, the tag, a towel and your Player Pass — at no extra cost.
- What is the Player Pass?
- A physical card carrying your Player ID and draft class, included in the kit. It is NFC-enabled, so tapping it opens the club.
- Can I see the design before it is made?
- Yes. Nothing is cut until you have approved the design direction.
- Is every piece really unique?
- Yes. Each one is built from a specific jersey, so it cannot be reproduced exactly even if someone asked.
